Afghanistan’s pioneering supercar company, combining innovation, engineering, and national pride.
ENTOP is an Afghan automotive startup based in Kabul, founded with the vision to showcase Afghanistan’s engineering talent and cultural identity through modern car design.
The company was initiated by engineer Mohammad Raza Ahmadi at the Afghanistan Technical Vocational Institute (ATVI). After five years of development, the first prototype of ENTOP’s supercar was unveiled in late 2022—initially known as Mada 9, later referred to as Black Swan, Helmet, and finally named Simurgh.
The Simurgh is built on a lightweight tubular frame with a Formula-1 inspired pushrod suspension. Its powertrain is a re-engineered Toyota Corolla four-cylinder engine. The name comes from Persian mythology, symbolizing wisdom, strength, and transformation.
In 2023, ENTOP presented the Simurgh at the Geneva International Motor Show, hosted in Doha, Qatar. The team raised over $130,000 via crowdfunding from more than 45,000 supporters to make this debut possible.
Today, ENTOP is seeking $32–49 million USD in investment to finalize the project, test endurance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and bring Afghanistan’s first supercar into limited production.
